Al Qa'ida is obviously doing a better job reading the pulse of the American public. A recent Gallup gave it a 3-1 advantage over Congress in the "Approve of the job it is doing" category. Osama bin Laden's successor, Ayman al-Zawahiri, does trail in name recognition, but several pundits have suggested that might not be a disadvantage should he choose to challenge John Boehner for the House speaker's job. "At least Zawahiri would stick to his principles in any confrontation with Obama," Grover Norquist declared.
