I remember when I was reading all kinds of scattered reporting on these things in the 90's that would be hard to collate and keep track of or make sense of, Frontline would then come out with a show that would pull it all together in a superb way.

Your repetition of the title of the show on O'Neill reminds me: French intel were also ones who basically "knew" This is one of reasons why I am so interested in what is going on in Mali..

Tue, 22 Jan 2013 23:04:38 +0000 artappraiser comment 173806 at http://dagblog.com All this reminds me of The http://dagblog.com/comment/173805#comment-173805
In reply to Here's what the CIA (apparently) doesn't want you to read

All this reminds me of The Man Who Knew | Frontline | PBS, the story of FBI Special Agent John O'Neill and the fakakta 2001 intelligence community.

I remember not being as surprised by the 9/11 attack as most were although the towers collapsing was a shock. I credit the series of documentaries Frontline did after the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993 and before 9/11 for that. Given how quickly they were able to put together The Man Who Knew after 9/11, I am almost sure Agent O'Neill was one of their primary sources for the series.

What a shame he died in the attack.

Tue, 22 Jan 2013 22:48:19 +0000 EmmaZahn comment 173805 at http://dagblog.com
