In Berkeley, California there is a big sign that says "Drug Free Zone."

Honestly, there would be nowhere near this level of danger if it weren't guns involved. No matter how deranged the person, they wouldn't be able to just tear apart another person within seconds. You're never going to be able to get guns off the market but certainly you could make it so it is less easy to get them at places like sporting good shops, etc.
