Killing at least a dozen or more a season. That all stopped when I took in two rescued male cats. I was able to get them shots and neutered through a county program at low cost. The cats living here discourage the rats from setting up housekeeping. I no longer run into snakes around the flowerbeds because there is no rats for them to feed on. There is nothing more startling then unearthing a nest of baby snakes when planting flowers. My kitties are well fed and well loved and made life easier for me.
