I guess I should acknowledge that a very long time ago I was a "Captain of Industry"-I ran a company you would have heard of.

That doesn't cause me to dispute your description . Altho I knew a few exceptions.Very few.

The moochers are the captains of industry who steal hundreds of billions of dollars from the Federal Government after 'investing' so many hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign contributions.

And we do nothing about it.

Just look at dick cheney. His firm took in a hundred billion dollars due to a war based upon false premises.

Many of us have our own definition of the term 'moocher'. ha

Delong was responding to a book by Nicholas Eberstadt. He ,Delong, begins by saying that those of us "who simply live in America and look around" know the 47% are not moochers.

I decided to look up Eberstadt.Phillips Exeter Academy, London School of Economics, Harvard, American Enterprise Insitute. Wife employed at the Hoover Institute.

Yup. Not much living in and looking around the America that he writes books about.
