Hey Michael, I actually posted it in hopes that you would have something to say about it. Ric Flair is my favorite too and the drug problem is explosive in WWE. Steroids are an obvious problem and I can imagine that a climate of performance enhancing drug use could lead someone like Reid Flair to go toward illegal drugs.

With politics - Kane was actually a big time Ron Paul/Campaign for Liberty supporter, by the way, and Mick Foley is an Obama supporter.

It's of minor concern to most, but I've been a fan of the theatre that is pro wrestling since I was a kid and (shocker) Flair was always my favorite. The industry, such as it is, has grown in money but not beyond its carnival roots. Talented men and women are overworked, often with injuries, and they develop drug addictions as well as other maladies.

We always know when a big star dies. And, we know about Reid Flair because of who his father is. But a lot of these guys, wrestling in Japan, Mexico and at small independent shows around the US dream of working for the WWE and that means working hurt, working tired, never taking a break and, often using physique enhancing drugs. That's the standard set by the McMahons. The connection to politics? Linda McMahon twice almost became a senator.
