Waving an American flag doesn't make you a patriot or a hero.

Running into a casualty zone after an explosion, and using one as a tourniquet to save someone's life does both. In the last photo, who would you rather depend on for aid, or to save your life? The guy on the ground, a former 'illegal alien', or the flag waving home grown white bigots beating him? Well I guess we know the answer.

I kept the TV off of the coverage because of the kids. So I didn't see any of the pictures until late at night on the internet. That cowboy hat caught my eyes too. His story just brought tears to my eyes. The bomb is an act of a coward. He came to this country and gave a son to war. A gold star dad who is politically active and has courage too. The right wing nuttery don't see him as a person worthy of the vote. Thanks for posting his story.
