Thanks trkingmomoe, I am getting better. I am taking it slower than normal, which makes my mind a bit crazy, but which my body appreciates. This surgery was, in retrospect, a bit too close to the first one, but it's done and now things can get back on track ... I hope.

I remember wearing uniforms in fifth grade, the one year I had to go to Catholic school. I think the girls outfits were worse than the boys. They had these ugly plaid dresses with white blouses, whereas the boys just had navy blue pants and light blue shirts with ties. Fortunately, the following year we moved and due to the timing I couldn't get into the Catholic school in the new town, so I had to go back to the public school system (Woo-hooo!! No nuns!! )

P.S. I love the old photos and wish I had treated some of them better when I was a kid. I have boxes of them, and treasure them now. It has been part of my search for my roots that led me to explore genealogy and take up the task of scanning and restoring the old family photos.

I enjoyed the pictures also the poetry. I hope you are getting better. It hasn't been too hot here. We have been having our rainy season. The weeds are growing like crazy but I don't care because I have school uniforms to make for my grand daughter. Poor urban elementary schools in this town have to wear uniforms. Dam things are expensive and made of polly-ester. This is the tropics and that is like wearing a plastic bag. Sorry my keyboard is not compatible with dag.
