Both non-religious and religious explanations fall flat in the eeriness of having not found life elsewhere. What are those stars and planets there for if they don't have life? That doesn't make sense in any way, I think.

Religion doesn't answer why that entire large universe is there and God only put life on our little world. However, science, as far as it knows now, doesn't really provide a full answer evolutionarily because we haven't seen the same process occur on other planets. We really, simply don't know and we should admit that to ourselves.

sounds interesting ... I'll be looking out for it ... you have me wondering how they play the Darwin mechanism with a life form devoid of a deity.

And that's an important first ste ... acknowledging life that exists without the need of a deity.

And that opens a whole new can of worms ... how will the Earth react to an unknown and intelligent alien species that has no deity.
