The role of Mercutio as clueless agent plays out in different ways.

Mercutio is the one who egged on Romeo to go to the dance where he met Juliet in the first place. Tybalt was focused on Romeo just before and while the meeting with Juliet unfolded. Mercutio didn't understand the reasons behind Romeo's reluctance to fight. In his own fashion, Tybalt did. He was reacting against the tolerance permitted by the senior Capulet when Romeo was not thrown out upon being correctly identified.

This conjunction of misunderstanding is Shakespeare showing what has to be lost before the Prince can be heard declaring an end to the fight.

It is a scary message.

I see Chuckie Cheese from MSNBC and all of a sudden, Cruz is a prick!

Chris has given up completely. I mean he is a liberal's liberal.

Forget Wolf for a minute, who has had his spasms lately against the repub crap.

The tide is turning and the polls demonstrate this.

Oh, I watched MSNBC today and throughout the entire day they reran the video of Cruz and Palin with some fascist prick speak at some VW thingy at one of the closed parks.

Nobody is buying this crap, except of course the 20% who wish to take us back to 1956.

I think WE (whoever that is) are winning.

The problem with all my thinking, is that this CLIFF is really scary.

Although not as scary when you find yourself an old man.

It will be interesting at least to view the news for the next 2? days.

I agree with every word. I hear people saying that all around me and it is so frustrating because if they already believe it there is no way to get them to look at all this a different way. The latest is that Obama just won't meet with Republicans!

He has met them more times than they deserve. Their goal from Day One was to nullify his Presidency. Their total lack of respect has been appalling and they get away with it for all the reasons you so ably documented. For the life of me I cannot get my head around the way people just don't get it. And sadly there are enough ignorant people to keep this going for a while.
