Were you under the impression that it's going to continuously be open? That is not how it is set up.

Edit to add: works the same with Medicare, you can only change your Medicare coverage choices on Part C & D during the open enrollment period once a year: This year theirs is Oct. 15-Dec. 7. And the Obamacare sign up is apparently going to share those dates in the future.

I don't think this plan can be seen as anything but a long-term effort.

It's ridiculous to think that we could turn around something this big this quickly and have the sails filled and the ship under way.
