House seats are in play. Fl-2 Tallahassee where Gwen Graham is in a toss up race. Fl-10 Winter Haven and some suburbs of Orlando is were Webster (R) is in trouble. There are also state house seats that are in play in the lower chamber.

Alex Sink way ahead in Fl-12 and is the favorite to win the special election in Clearwater. Fl-19 will now have a special election. April Freeman is holding her own so far and is a former Republican active in politics that has switched parties. So we will have to wait and see who will jump in on the Republican side to run against her since Tray just resigned on Monday.

This election until today was all about voter remorse over electing Rick Scott but now this will over shadow that and energize the Democrats to stand in line again.

I paid my poll tax last week when I renewed my driver license and I have the star on it to prove it. I had to order a new birth certificate from Ohio and bring 5 other documents with me to prove who I was. Because my birth certificate had my maiden name on it ( of coarse it would) I had to come back with a state certificate of marriage to build a paper trail back to my maiden name. Good thing I was only married once. I had an old long form one from Ohio issued in 1968 and took that back before I spent another $49 to Ohio. They did accept that after it was taken to a supervisor. This has been the most expensive license I have ever had. I am convinced had I been a minority women I would have had to get a new issued marriage certificate. I now have a little star on my ID that shows I have met all requirements of citizenship in Florida. That star make me wonder what were they planning for this election.

Tue, 28 Jan 2014 06:25:08 +0000 trkingmomoe comment 189275 at http://dagblog.com
