Not a good thing imo. The plan is to cut taxes in other areas to match the gas tax hike. So a very regressive gas tax that has a much greater impact on the middle class and poor, since they spend a higher percentage of their income on transportation costs, is coupled with a tax cut for the .1% Sounds like a republican plan to me.

They are going to have to be a little more creative then that in financing highways. We are headed to electric cars and solar and wind generation of power. Big trucks will be diesel electric like train engines. I wish our congress critters would pay more attention to science.

I usually only use now one tank of gas a month ( 12 gal tank). and you walk.
