They are aided by a larger group of people who stand on the sidelines and do nothing. Most people agree that the Justice system is not equal. But there are always excuses for doing nothing. One tactic used by the elites is to have their toadies in the media is character assassination of the victim. The media blames the unarmed person for getting shot.

Amadou Diallo was innocent and unarmed. When the NYPD fired 41 shots at him in a case of mistaken identity, one line of argument was that he should have known to put his hands up. If their is marijuana in the system the person deserves to get shot. Being unarmed is not a factor. If you have a toy gun, you can be killed within seconds of police arriving and police know that the shooting will be ruled justifiable. Of course if you are Cliven Bundy you can point loaded guns at law enforcement and still walk around as a free man. Ferguson exposed a nerve.

Sun, 30 Nov 2014 14:02:52 +0000 rmrd0000 comment 201313 at http://dagblog.com It's generous of Wattree to http://dagblog.com/comment/201312#comment-201312
In reply to Ode to An African American Patriot - And His White Brothers In Arms

It's generous of Wattree to say a word for America when so many African-Americans are being murdered or maimed, and no one is held accountable(although the guy who killed Jordan Davis did get a life sentence, a small crumb of justice).

Sun, 30 Nov 2014 13:20:44 +0000 Aaron Carine comment 201312 at http://dagblog.com HOPE http://dagblog.com/comment/201311#comment-201311
In reply to "Foolish and vain indeed is

HOPE
.
We’ve got to wage a fierce battle against the ugliness in this world, but we must resist the urge to profile and become ugly ourselves. There has been too much blood shed by our ancestors to give up any stake in this country. This is our land. A Black man, Crispus Attucks, shed the first blood in the war against the tyranny of Britain. Benjamin Banneker laid out DC. Benjamin Franklin has a mixed legacy on slavery. Franklin owned slaves but became an abolitionist near the end of his life. Interestingly, Franklin lived just six blocks from Richard Allen, the founder of the African Methodist Episcopal church. Franklin evolved.

Abraham Lincoln evolved from a man who only wanted to preserve the Union independent of whether the slaves were freed to a man who approved the enlistment of Black troops. Lincoln was prodded by White abolitionist Harriet Beecher Stowe and Black abolitionist Frederick Douglass.

Schwerner, Chaney, and Goodman were recently awarded the Medal of Freedom. Viola Liuzzo awaits the recognition that she deserves for sacrificing her life for the vote.We see the forces of evil destroyng the Civil Rights Act, but are reminded that the Moral Mondays campaign of today is a multiracial organization.

You also see a mixture of faces in the Ferguson protests. The Dream Defenders are also multiracial. The enemy of the people is a small but dedicated group. The do not speak for the majority.

Fri, 28 Nov 2014 15:00:22 +0000 rmrd0000 comment 201271 at http://dagblog.com
