It is about time we face the shame. I think the bad results of the election brought out this report. They have known about this for years and held on to it. If they want to win elections they have got to respond to the new left generation. I think this report has legs and is not going to go away any time soon.

Of course this amounts to no real standard for how any criminal justice system could work.

One of the things which disgusts me most is the thought of those two psychologists---retired Army---having received that kind of money. They ripped off research aimed at helping treat depression and used it to cover the torture---i.e. the waterboarding wasn't torture to get intel, it was to induce helplessness so that they could then get the intel--a distinction without a difference.

So in effect, each player used a screen to protect themselves from prosecution. Cheney said it was the lawyers who approved it. The psychologists used a segue and were also indemnified. And the same with everyone else up and down the line of this crime.

(Inducing helplessness in dogs is in itself a form of cruelty)

Maybe we can just publicly shame these psychologists. Bring back the stockades.

Neither Bush nor Cheney read the damn report!

But they know the report is filled with nothing but crapola.

I already added my feelings about this subject in a comment to Mike M.

We as a nation torture people every damn day.

I underline our criminal justice system and its sins all the time.

Rape and green bologna and 119 degree heat inside tents and stabbings and lack of psychiatric approved drugs appear along with the aid of bribed out-sourced guards.

There is no criminal drama that appears on my Cable TV that does not contain torture with regard to suspects in their plots.

And most of the time, these episodes contain some sort of direct scenes involving some sort of torture, even if the anis and genitals of the inmate are not directly involved.

TELL ME WHAT I WISH TO HEAR OR I WILL BEAT YOU OR I WILL STAND BY WHILST OTHER INMATES BEAT YOU OR YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR CHILDREN AGAIN!

We, as citizens and viewers love these shows.

And Bush II does not know one thing about all of this.

But when NAZIs torture or when Mao tortures or when Stalin tortures....well that is why we need AMERICA?

We as a nation condone torture every goddamn day.

And nobody will ever do a goddamn thing about it.

Torture is what commies do or torture is what ISIS does or torture is what Alqida does or torture is practiced by what our enemies do.

I do not have an answer.

The right is telling you that propaganda is all and if you do not go along with this misinformation, well you are no longer American.
