I was going to add this but I did not know where.

I am visiting Mama and Noela and Jolee and Seany and it is time to go.

Noela is playing with the toy castles by the windows and Mama says:

We have to go now!

hahahaha

Well Noela plays along and then does not play along as far as getting clothed properly for the ride.

Mama keeps trying and then says:

OKAY NOELA, SEE YA LATER!

dhahahahahahah

And Noela has this flummoxed look on her face and immediately begins putting on her mittons.

YOU HAD TO BE THERE.

I am just glad I was there and I could be there.

Raising kids is not always fun, but watching IS A LOT OF FUN!

It got up to twenty F today but the wind and the semi blizzard kept me in.

You are correct, next week will be a bitch.

There is a little store, like the old days that I can reach in the next building without going outside; Monday thru Saturday.

My son was up here in December and I purchased so many many goods.

I need to walk every day but I will forsake that. hahahahah

I have plenty here in the way of supplies and I kind of over did this procedure as far as supplies unrelated to food.

Hell, I can go forty days without food, although I will not because I am an addict. hahahahah

Sometime next week I will breech the great cold.

Only because I need to get the hell out of here.

hahahhah

It's bad but I have only been facing this mess for over 60 years.

Bitter cold and snow for Saturday and then clearing on Sunday for you. It looks like you will have plenty of cold if the jet stream stays in this loop configuration for the month. Just be careful when out. I hope you have laid in food supplies for those extra wicked days that you should stay in. The forecast models for the month shows the polar vortex staying in a normal pattern so that is good. The models are usually only good for 2 weeks out.

Yeah, I know what you mean. All my Christmases growing up as if they took place in Hiroshima, in the hour before the bomb, where you'd just wait for the [inevitable] explosion and hope you weren't standing too close. We tried, but really didn't know how to do it too well.

And now I'm learning Christmas, from my beloved M, how to do trees and meals and presents and PEOPLE and it's all pretty great.

And I hardly ever lose my temper. Or kill people.

And even if I do, I have NEVER once yet waved their still-dripping skulls at the widow.

So. Human progress, even for us old farts.

Merry Christmas, Big Man.

P.S. And try to swear a bit more this year. I need the company.

It is nice to hear that some families can still do up Christmas big.

Stores here locally had lots of stuff left over that didn't sell this year. I am watching now for the sales.

The kids each got a tablet/e-reader for Christmas and they thought they fell into a vat of gold.

I must of sorted 10 thousand little colored rubber bands for my grand daughter for her rainbow loom. In fact I did buy 9600 rubber bands at 70% off the day after Christmas. Only her loom is a cheap knock off from Walmart that was half priced. The rubber bands were sorted into two plastic containers that had little compartments to hold craft supplies which I emptied out my junk so she could use them. The rainbow loom has a similar container for the bans. I also went through my button box and found novelty buttons that had shanks. I sat and pulled rubber bands through the shanks with a thin crochet hook so she would be able to use them to decorate her bracelets as she made them. If the shank's hole was still too small for a thin crochet hook I took a twisty tie and soaked the paper off of it and used the thin wire as a threader and pulled the rubber ban through. I even amazed myself with that little trick because it worked. She was real happy because I added a finger loom and mini loom that was bought after Christmas. She told me non of her friends had a set as big as hers. The rubber band crafts are real popular with little girls right now.

I gave the boys Mindcraft quilts.

I was worried that they would feel slighted with only 2 gifts but they were pretty happy.
