I am watching the GOP with utter fascination. I keep noticing these cracks that are getting wider. They have 5 people who have announced and 5 more trying to put together a campaign. Not one of them with more then about 15% support and a billion dollars of Koch money ready to buy the Whitehouse. Could it be that the southern strategy is coming apart? The country is not in the market for dog whistles.

There may have been more irate parents who privately would have chastised their kids; but yet, if a video came forward showing their kid robbing a convenience store and roughing up the store clerk, the public would have been told, the kids were as saintly as the Archangel Michael and would never violate the law or attack a police officer.

Curly Rand could have taken the position that police abuse was another version of government overreach that extends to surveillance. The meme could have been that the government automatically feels that you are guilty and will do things like Stop and Frisk and NSA metadata searches. He could have used this to be a statesmen, but he failed.

Paul is a Conservative raised in the Conservatism of the modern GOP. He simply cannot help but put his foot in his mouth when dealing with the black community. At his core, Rand is just another Republican.

This is were federal authorities have to step in and investigate. The Justice Dept. has to look at this like they did with Ferguson. I remembered when Hough area in Cleveland broke out in a riot and it took the Fed. Justice Dept. to clean up Cleveland PD and their rules. Lynch has to get in there with her sleeves rolled up and take on that Union.

After an incident that requires an investigation, the involved officers have 10 days before they have to answer questions. Apparently one office refuses to talk. If you listened to the police union rep in the early days after The death, the union will back these officers to the fullest extent. The union plays a large role in keeping bad officers on the force.

Is it true that the reason for Mr. Gray's arrest has not been stated by the Baltimore PD?

Not to mention how many cops beat him to death in the PD van and with what weapons?

I would respect Rand if he said "I have had family members who broke the law as is alleged with the late Mr, Gray, but my kin were never beaten to death in suspicious circumstances after arrest".

Members of the Nation of Islam (Black Muslims) stood in front of one store. They were unarmed but no one dared approach the store. There are cameras around that CVS on Fulton Street shown burning on video. Those criminals will go to jail. Hopefully the criminals in uniform who killed Freddie Gray (allegedly) will do time if found guilty.

You have to known that that kid's friends know who he is and are giving him no end of grief. The video is probably YouTubed, or whatever the video app in vogue is, to all his friends, relatives, and classmates.
