Mick Mulvaney is a Republican who sat next to Clementa Pinckney in the SC Senate. He supports removing the flag. It is interesting to note the contortions he goes through to justify the removal of the flag. He wants to remove the flag to honor Pinckney. He is sorry that he did not listen to the pain caused by keeping the flag flying. He is sad that the flag has obscured the love the community has shown to Emanuel AME church. In other interviews he calls Pinckney his good buddy, but admits they never "hung out". He never invited Pinckney to his home for dinner. He did not really know. Clementa Pinckney. He knew the flag caused pain but ignored it. There was never discussion of the flag prior to the massacre because Mulvaney did not want to deal with controversy about the flag .nthe subject just never came up.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/06/24/mick-mulvaney-confederate-flag_...

Some people hear what they want to hear. Race relations in South Carolina were OK. They are even OK now. He is deaf.

Sun, 28 Jun 2015 17:12:14 +0000 rmrd0000 comment 209472 at http://dagblog.com
