Old Lawton Childes hung him out to dry in his good o'boy Florida cracker style by talking about "old he coons" when Jebby pointed out Lawton's age in a debate. Jeb was ahead in the polls until that night and very cocky. Old Walk'n Lawton cleaned his clock when he explained how smart old "he" coon could be. Maybe the Jebster was thinking as a plantation owner. You can get more production out of slaves by making them work longer hours. But you won't get more productivity.

More or less since the end of slavery, the elimination of child labor and the onset of the modern industrial period the idea of better results is labor productivity---more results per hour. Mostly this is achieved through education, better equipment, loyalty via benefits, and other improvements. Of course because the Jebster doesn't want to cause corporations any headaches, just work the lazy sob's longer.

Yup. That's his solution to growing the economy; you must increase productivity for your corporate overlords so they can make more profits which they will never, ever share with you or use to pay their fair share of taxes.

This is the nonsensical mindset of someone stuck embracing the trickle down theory of economics. Unfortunately for Jeb, there is ample evidence that proves trickle down economics is a complete and utter crock of sh*t.
