Were they retiring at 61? How do Greek and EU benefits compare for the Greeks vs what Americans got in 1933? How much does the average Greek have stuffed away in foreign bank accounts to buffer the economic problems? How much of the economy is a black market that doesn't appear in the official poverty figures?</p> <p><span style="line-height:1.6">My mom's family AFAIK got a sack of potatoes a week as her big helping hand in the 30's.
