Politico says there will certainly be no shutdown now because Boehner has nothing to lose by relying on Dem votes. But I wonder. It seems to me that the right-wingers also have nothing to lose by prematurely deposing the Speaker before the CR vote.

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 19:10:45 +0000 Michael Wolraich comment 213342 at http://dagblog.com Since leading the GOP House http://dagblog.com/comment/213333#comment-213333
In reply to Bawling Boehner Waves Bye-Bye

Since leading the GOP House is like herding a mob of scalded rabid cats one wonders what this holds in store for the nation.

We may get the full measure of insane ideology of the Tea Party depending on which of the Party of No takes his place.

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 15:32:11 +0000 NCD comment 213333 at http://dagblog.com You beat me to it. It came http://dagblog.com/comment/213331#comment-213331
In reply to Bawling Boehner Waves Bye-Bye

You beat me to it. It came over the radio on my way home from the food pantry. I don't think the House had any idea. Here is another article on it.

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/09/speaker-john-boehner-retiring-from-congress-at-the-end-of-october-214056

The GOP is in a real mess. He was going to retire in 2014 this article said but Cantor was defeated so he didn't. He doesn't want a prolong fight over the speakership. At least we don't have to put up with all the Trump news. We can be entertained by the House having a food fight.

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 14:47:23 +0000 trkingmomoe comment 213331 at http://dagblog.com
