The public opinion of students and faculty was that the administration was lacking. The school made the decision to terminate the President and Chancellor. We will see if the black students and university faculty feel that their issues are being addressed

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 21:26:23 +0000 rmrd0000 comment 215388 at http://dagblog.com Hardly blockbuster film http://dagblog.com/comment/215387#comment-215387
In reply to The plot: Incompetent

Hardly blockbuster film material

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 21:16:14 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 215387 at http://dagblog.com The plot: Incompetent http://dagblog.com/comment/215385#comment-215385
In reply to So not just the president,

The plot: Incompetent leadership leaving both faculty and students feeling that attention to detail was missing.

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 20:11:09 +0000 rmrd0000 comment 215385 at http://dagblog.com So not just the president, http://dagblog.com/comment/215384#comment-215384
In reply to If you dismiss the black

So not just the president, the chancellor too, over stuff unrelated to racism. Like the Rosa Parks example, pick the examples that hew together. The student council president gets the n word - off campus. Sorry, sux but not very usable. A teacher gets the n word hundreds of times? I'm incredulous - wtf? Toss the crackers out. An incident is about Jews? Don't use it for black complaints. Black enrollment heading steadily down over the last decade? Put it as point #1, not some rant about 1839 they made the Pres listen to for 10 mins. Marketing 101, messaging for the masses. OK, the Pres resigned, but hardly a good win. "We're incoherent and unpersuasive, but you gotta go." Brilliant. They could have made an effective front to help deal with the issue. Instead they just preached to their own fans and themselves - uncomprehending, we stagger forward.

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 16:56:13 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 215375 at http://dagblog.com
