Film critics often differ from public opinion. The public opinion of students and faculty was that the administration was lacking. The school made the decision to terminate the President and Chancellor. We will see if the black students and university faculty feel that their issues are being addressed

If you dismiss the black folks, maybe you will listen to the nine UM deans who wanted the Chancellor gone. They wanted this done back in October Things were not right on the campus.

Mizzou needs some leadership coming from the white community, to show the white community is listening and will engage in sustained and effective action to end the atmosphere of racism.

To me, the fact that Wolfe sat on his ass in the vehicle at the parade incident shows the guy had no guts, knowledge or awareness of how to meet challenges.....or to handle confrontations and use them to calm tensions and display respect....thereby showing the necessary qualities required to lead a large public institution within a diverse community.

He failed at that test, and other previous tests, and is gone. Hopefully they will find someone to pick up the pieces and move forward.

If Wolfe's dumb white ass had stepped out of his car and 'had the temerity' to walk a 1/2 mile and talk with and display some recognition of the protestors and their complaints, showing openness to listen to them anytime anywhere, he would have started to turn things around at Mizzou, and still have his job.

Sometimes you have to do the unexpected to turn emotions and perceptions around. It's called l-e-a-d-e-r-s-h-i-p. Mizzou didn't have it, they need it now.

I'm a focused kind of guy - stick to the main plot. Like the Rosa Parks example, pick the examples that hew together. The student council president gets the n word - off campus. Sorry, sux but not very usable. A teacher gets the n word hundreds of times? I'm incredulous - wtf? Toss the crackers out. An incident is about Jews? Don't use it for black complaints. Black enrollment heading steadily down over the last decade? Put it as point #1, not some rant about 1839 they made the Pres listen to for 10 mins. Marketing 101, messaging for the masses. OK, the Pres resigned, but hardly a good win. "We're incoherent and unpersuasive, but you gotta go." Brilliant. They could have made an effective front to help deal with the issue. Instead they just preached to their own fans and themselves - uncomprehending, we stagger forward.
