"Low" was my anchor for years. BBC interviewed astronaut Mike as part of the eulogy - Wtf? Turned it off and watched their 2012 documentary on Ziggy Stardust and the early years. I had a friend who turned me on to The Man Who Sold The World when it came out - a strange exodus from my redneck space world, several years before Bowie takeoff - used to drive the djs crazy calling up and asking for Mott the Hoople. I'm still afraid of Americans.

Red eyed, we pull on red shoes-

Dance the Winter blues

some solace: He punched his own ticket. The confluence of events, from release of album through birthday to peaceful soul release tells us that Ziggy picked his time and place. May we all be granted that grace.
