Will they vote their pocketbooks or their security fears?

Probably won't change New Hampshire, but if the Krugman meme spreads, his advantage on the economy may drop.

One curious thought I had reading some article is that as it seemed the leverage of black Americans suffered under Obama, the leverage of at least Israel-focus might suffer under Sanders (e.g. he might be one of the few with the ethnic standing, balls and demeanor to tell Bibi to stuff it). But then the GOP would have a heyday inviting Bibi and Bibi-lookalikes to come speak in both houses of Congress (cardboard cutouts with sketches of 1800s bombs will do). Anyway, gave me a quick chortle.

I should add that I deeply want to believe the sanders electability argument...But I am notoriously (indeed, pathologically) optimistic, and the reality that the american electorate might not have the insight to vote socialist would break my heart if true

Previous corrections aside, the Silver piece is an interesting development in the context of Silver's previous predictions that Trump was toast for the candidacy. With his zero sum chart of Trump favorability, Silver is cocking his head like the RCA dog at the GOP and saying: "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, who could lose running against this guy?"

Thanks PP. I appreciate your providing the defense that I was too embarrassed by my ridiculous fail to set forth. I did read the underlying 538 article but somehow got confused between the original source and the DailyKos writeup. Truth is I wanted so badly to believe Silver said Sanders was the most electable Democrat that I disregarded all the red lights telling me that Silver almost certainly wouldn't have said that.

The Kos piece is badly formatted to make it hard to realize when Nate Silver stops talking (about likeability) and when the diarist starts (about why Bernie's good and Hillary's bad)

Hal, did you actually read Silver's piece? He said nothing of the sort. This is a pretty gross misrepresentation.
