This *is* a hobby, JR - it's a place I write about real shit, use words and puns and ideas and larger vocabulary, that doesn't just disappear inside a box under my desk. Not quite a savant in Paris or eye looking over East Egg or celebrated columnist on the innertubez and morning talk shows, but 1 step past the dreaded onanism. Pathetic yes, but not *totally* pathetic.

And probably a respite for being an expat. I'm an alien, I'm a legal alien...
