When Liberal Jo Cox was was killed by a fanatic in Britain, the Conservative Prime Minister called for England to come together. When 49 people were killed in Orlando, the President called for the country to come together to solve gun violence. John McCain blamed the President for the attack. Sarah Palin blamed Muslim. We do not have Conservatives in the GOP,we have wingnuts.

There is some good stuff going on.

i MEAN cable news has kept on kepting on all thru the week end with videos of this mass carnage.

Hey, wake up guys, THIS IS NEWS! As it were.

The tooth paste is out of the tube, so to speak. I mean there are so many 'assault rifles' out there, what the hell can we do about it?

The only good news I can take out of all of this is that T-Rump keeps putting his foot in his ugly mouth accusing My President of conspiring with the enemy and such (supposing of course that the electorate is even dumber than I had anticipated).

Just a thought; remember when we had this phrase 'going postal'?

First we are told that the mass killer was Muslim.

Second, we are told that this bastard legally purchased his artillery a week before the carnage?

Third, we are told that his family knew nothing--except his wife had run away from him for her very life.

Fourth, we are told that he traveled to the ME recently on two occasions and the FBI and Homeland and...others were monitoring the bastard. Oh and he prayed with some suicide bomber in the same Mosque in the last few years.

Fifth, Daddy had no clue that his son was a son of a bitching mass murderer.

The Repubs just continue in some attack upon My President, of course.

T-Rump and others seem to think that PC has something to do with all of this?

THAT IS NUTS. And I am not even going to get into that issue or issues?

How can speaking correctly and with some courteousness have anything to do with mass killings?

Thanks Ramona. I agree completely with your comments. This is about guns - especially the assault rifles that are used in nearly every one of these mass murders. Yes, religious extremism and homophobia apparently motivated the killer, but it was easy access to weapons of mass destruction that made it possible for this hater to kill so many so quickly.

Yes, France has also been victimized by mass religious-inspired killings over the past couple of years even though it has much stricter gun laws. But, no developed nation has nearly as high a murder rate as we do.

At this terrible time, I am heartened by Secretary Clinton's renewed call for sensible gun control laws and her thoughtful, caring comments about the massacre and against a knee-jerk reaction against all Muslims.

Muricans entertaining themselves using Bumpfire and Slidefire ATF US government legal stock add-ons.

The modifications give fully automatic-like action with their AR-15 rifles.

The NRA says these weapons are necessary for home self defense. In case you are attacked by say, 40 bad guys.

The Federal Assault Weapons Ban passed under President Clinton banned magazines of more than 10 rounds. After 10 rounds you had to remove one clip and add another in the stock.

The law expired under George W. Bush. Now there is no limit and magazines can hold a hundred or more rounds, as in the second video. Hobbyists say the big magazines are an adrenaline pumping rush to blow off.

The AR-15 is, coincidentally, a rifle popular with spree killers, like the one in Orlando who killed 50 people.
