There's a good chance he'll be a success. And in fact "we" may like some of the things he'll do- he's a New Yorker- more than the Republicans. As he becomes more and more comfortable with his power he'll resent

their preaching and ignore them.

He'll

o build his fence and it will be popular.

o But not expel the immigrants already here.

o Erect a long overdue tariff wall and eliminate unemployment .

o Basically ally with Putin and life will be less dangerous . For us.

o Maybe change his mind on global warming . When it's too late to save a lot of islands.

And be re elected without breathing hard..

Probably the best historical analog would be Catherine the Great. Or Bismark except that he was relatively austere whereas Trump's" self indulgence" -if you take my meaning- will cause Melania to quietly absent herself except for ceremonial occasions.

No danger of his running for 3rd term . Why bother? Whoever does will be seen as a pale copy of the

real thing and either driven from office or emasculated. Or replaced by Ivanka.

Calling them "finalists" says it all. I am still hoping this faux-election will be nullified, or that the electoral college will do the right thing, or that Trump and Pence get swallowed up by a sink-hole (together) before January, 2017.

But then I also believed I could fly if I tried hard enough as a 12 year-old. There were other things that I thought would never happen, but they did: I got my drivers license, I got married, I adopted 3 children. So maybe trump can yet be recognized as a failure, and also a loser.

Another tactic he uses well is "always leave them guessing what comes next"; the cliffhanger. His recent tweet that only he knows who the finalists are for his cabinet positions is a perfect example: Stay Tuned! His answer to whether he'd accept the election results if he lost? He'd keep us "in suspense". Constantly saying he hasn't decided or made up his mind, but will "very soon". He knows exactly how to use the public's natural curiosity to his benefit, and it works like a charm.
