The military is one of the few institutions that Trump does not seem hell bent to sabotage. Putin certainly can chalk up this result as a win independent of whatever other deals he might have hoped would come out of the Trump win.

With the State Department being sold to Dairy Queen and no one at the White House to pick up the red phone, maybe Putin is anxious to talk to anybody who would like to talk to him.

Sorry. The above is not much of a cutting edge analysis of global power dynamics.
