When all the austerity and cut backs started, they dusted off their grandmothers WWII cooking pamphlets for ideas. They had been bringing home less bacon for several years before the Brexit vote. They have the option of importing more food stuff from North America. Canada is a big trading partner with them. I don't see Canada in a tariff war with England over food imports and exports.
