If this intelligence is so sensitive, why is even the timing of its collection being revealed here, much less its access to Putin?

That seemingly contradictory action is all the more curious given that not all agencies were as impressed with this intelligence as CIA was. It’s not until much, much later in its report until WaPo explains what remains true as recently as Admiral Rogers’ latest Congressional testimony: the NSA wasn’t and isn’t as convinced by CIA’s super secret intelligence as CIA was.

Info agency warring, same shit as with 9/11.

Yeah CVille that's the other problem with Obama. He saw himself as the mediator between opposing factions. That was always the role he played from way back when he was the editor of the Harvard Law Revue. He bent over backwards to try to reach a compromise with the GOP, to no avail. I took him years to face the reality that his cherished role would never become a reality. The republicans weren't interested in compromise to accomplish anything.

Agree completely. It remains my biggest disappointment in Obama.

Others:

-giving up on single-payer, or even government exchanges in the hopes that the GOP would do the right thing.

-letting the GOP set the narrative for the ACA. There was no program to truly educate the populace about this. "ObamaCare is a disaster" became truth, only when it was too late did people begin to realize otherwise. Now that it has been sabotaged, it really IS a disaster.

Daniel Drezner, a professor of International Politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, said the story underscored what was “always Obama’s greatest weakness as a foreign policy president”.

“To his credit he was always wary [to] first do no harm, which led him to not react immediately to crises and not necessarily want to take retaliatory action,” Drezner said. “But this is a case where he clearly moved too slowly, and I think failed to appreciate the magnitude of what was going on.”

That's the foundation of many of my criticisms of Obama. So afraid of making a mistake or doing the wrong thing he often does nothing or nothing meaningful.
