Oh lordie, real zombie appearance involved now. Trump grants Pat Robertson (he's still there on CBN!!! not in a nursing home! must be a zombie!) an interview where he covers his ass with the "repeal Obamacare" right saying

I'll be very angry if the health bill fails

I suspect Trump thought he could get away with the liberal enemy media not paying any attention to CBN. SORRY, nope, they are replaying it on CNN as reporters on the hill breathlessly await release of version 10.7.832549.

Next up: how come you'll talk to zombie Pat Robertson and not to the rest of us? Afraid of real people?

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Thursday that if his party fails to muster 50 votes for its plan to rewrite the Affordable Care Act, it will have no choice but to draft a more modest bill with Democrats to support the law’s existing insurance markets.

The remarks, made at a Rotary Club lunch in Glasgow, Ky., represent a significant shift for the veteran legislator. While he had raised the idea last week that Republicans may have to turn to Democrats if they cannot pass their own bill, his words mark the first time he has explicitly raised the prospect of shoring up the ACA.

“If my side is unable to agree on an adequate replacement, then some kind of action with regard to the private health insurance market must occur,” McConnell said. “No action is not an alternative. We’ve got the insurance markets imploding all over the country, including in this state.” [.....]

Senate Obamacare repeal vote unlikely next week

Republicans are reviewing possible changes to the bill and still don't have the votes to gut the health law.

Here's what I see at this point:

1) Big GOP fail, they look incompetent, they didn't do this right, even for their own base(s). Now they can't undo that without coming out with some miracle where the general consenus is better than Obamacare. Fat chance.

2) They screwed the rest of us by discouraging insurers from re-upping with Obamacare. It will look like Obamacare is on a path to fail for the next year. There's going to be a lot of agitation on this, really bad stories in the media about people in trouble, sick and untreated, uncovered. Those people may be the martyrs that eventually get us a better system. ( I am not flippant about this, I could very well end up being one of those martyrs, only a few years away from Medicare.)

3) I think the states that want the Medicaid money are going to end up getting it or close to it.
