Yeah, don't think it's just cause he's saying what we want - he seems to be making up decent jokes/puns, and total piece holds together at a high register of writing, not the embarrassing wails of mom's cub reporter or pile-on need-to-be conservative meme dropper. Of course that was largely The Corner 8-10 years ago, a place where he wasn't the lowest IQ sadly. Perhaps he's ripe for a bit of compassion now in his knee-jerk salad, now that disappointment and Cassandra-like frustration is sinking in?

I've always thought very little of Jonah, but he must have learned a thing or two about writing in the last couple of decades; got to admit this paragraph is my favorite kind of snark:

I mean, sure, if you’re still convinced that everything Trump has done has been brilliant and farsighted, if you can read the president’s New York Times interview and push back from the table with the deep satisfaction that once again the master has out-thought his foes, if you still think his “I alone can fix it!” vow was anything other than the kind of bluster that traditionally leaves you with cider in your ear, then you might as well lead your herd of 50 bulls down to Trump Tower and sacrifice them to your Latter Day Baal.
