Ryan did express displeasure but unlike McCain, was weasely about it, he just "disagrees":

It should be noted that Breitbart very much disagrees with my interpretation of the statement as weasely,. So it all depends on your frame, to those like Ryan, it's brave because he's getting hell for it:

intended to post an excerpt but would take because it had a tweet in it. I especially like reason # 5; if one reminds oneself that even if he is removed from office, it's not likely he is headed for quiet retirement. Needs his fans or he has nothing. Old Trump brand ruined, must keep the fans.

Hits me after reading that and Noah Feldman's piece that McCain's tweet with link to his formal statement is spot on succinct as to what is the main presidential offense involved. As if it could be used as one article of a group of "articles" of impeachment. Making a list for the House to use, waiting on Mueller. McCain is a Russiaphobe, after all.
