Facebook always lowballs their effect, as the discussions at Emptwheel notes (read the comments section, good stuff).including a misleading ads-based metric when the Russians weren't trying to get ad revenue - they were searching for ways to rig the election and Facebook kindly helped them - accessory to the crime as much as holding a ladder for a second-story man. Except Zuckerberg made a lot more money. Though so did CNN and others - a lot of guilt that needs to be assigned.
