I like Woodward okay, I think he is far more sophisticated and nuanced, more scholarly and much less political and much less of a bloviating egotist. I must admit that when I have seen him on TV lately, his commentary is often of the kind where the reaction of most news junkies (not to mention his fellow talking heads on the program) would be "doh!, not too swift, Carl, that was the meme last month, try to keep up!" Really, I see him as having a hard time keeping up with the youngins when he is invited to opine.
