Because everyone in the left of the sphere hated Bushco dragging us in Iraq so much, they likewise not just loathed the whole "support the troops" game,a game actually meant to torture Clintonites, meant to hark back to supposed dissing of Vietnam vets. But by the time we got Obama, this strange switch seemed to happen. Because Mr. and Mrs. Obama, as loathe as they might be to like, wear flag pins, at least at the start, seemed to genuinely, genuinely want to put military life and the military families on a pedestal, from the getgo. As in: they actually seemed to admire the life. So all these liberals that once loathed the support the troops game, since they liked the Obamas, were all of a sudden "supporting the troops". And now we got generals in the White House that all Breitbart'ers are being taught to despise.

Even Hollywood couldn't do this culture flip flopping this fast. John Kelly, grieving for his son lost in battle and for others like him, surprised and stunned reporters in a White House press conference.
