The other deadly church shooting in America on Sunday

Manuel Garcia was waiting for his estranged wife and her new boyfriend when they came out of church in the central California city of Fresno, authorities said.

The Garcias had raised four children in 43 years of marriage — but a month ago, Martha Garcia filed for divorce, Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer told reporters. Shortly after, Martha Garcia told family and friends that there was a new man in her life.

The new couple had attended a 7:30 a.m. Mass at St. Alphonsus Church on Sunday.

An hour later, officers were called to the church parking lot, where they found the couple in a car, both with gunshot wounds to the head.

Martha Garcia was dead. Her boyfriend, whose identity has not been released, died a little while later.

But you linked a story a month ago showing the "National Database" is a bunch of paper in boxes in a trailer/container waiting to be collated and not allowed to be digitized. It's a fucking joke, completely unusable, there just for some kind of CYA or monument to NRA vindictiveness and stupidity.

President Barack Obama signed an executive order that allowed the Social Security Agency to provide the names of disability recipients with mental issues that made it impossible for people to handle their own affairs as a means of limiting their ability to purchase weapons.. Note at the time of the the executive order, NRA was shouting that mental health issues were at the core of mass shootings. The current guy in the White House repealed the order. The current guy in the White House is now shouting that the Texas shooting was a mental health issue. You can’t make this stuff up.

Update: Man identified as Texas shooter was court-martialed for assault on his spouse and child

Devin P. Kelley, who served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico starting in 2010, was court-martialed in 2012 for two counts alleging assault on his spouse and assault on their child, Ann Stefanek, the chief of Media Operations for the Air Force, said in a statement.

Kelley was convicted and sentenced to 12 months in custody and given a bad conduct discharge, Stefanek said. He was discharged in 2014.
