One of my New Year's Resolutions is to "<em>Like Trump Better</em>". Being post-policy is probably a good thing, no?</p> <p>Then again, "Get Rid of the Clown" makes a nice bumper sticker. I liked that trending moment in 2017 when Clowns were seemingly omnipresent. Now we've had our fill of them, it's back to the circus trunk.</p> </div></div></div> Fri, 29 Dec 2017 08:51:23 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 246422 at http://dagblog.com I thought y'all knew, after http://dagblog.com/comment/246394#comment-246394 <a id="comment-246394"></a> <p><em>In reply to <a href="http://dagblog.com/comment/246389#comment-246389">You posted this piece +</a></em></p> <div class="field field-name-comment-body field-type-text-long field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p>I thought y'all knew, after all, it's the standard price of entry for upstart now since Citizen's United?</p> <p>What hit me about this is the same thing as in this <a href="http://dagblog.com/comment/246273#comment-246273">great comment from oceankat from a week ago</a> where he points out that Trump hatred skews policy question polls<em> Now virtually every democrat hates Trump. And almost every democrat leaning independent hates Trump. Even many of the moderate republicans hate Trump. Any policy question will be skewed by that Trump hatred</em>. The most passion and numbers in this country right now is in the "we fucking hate Trump" demographic.</p> <p>"We fucking hate Trump", that's where your majority coalition political activism is just sitting and waiting for pitchforks to be given to them.  Trump's a uniter because of, not despite, his best efforts. You can't define what policy they like or don't, because they know Trump doesn't have any policies either. That's why they hate him...they'll just take anyone with any real policies, anyone who will get rid of the clown and be a real president again.</p> </div></div></div> Thu, 28 Dec 2017 20:35:43 +0000 artappraiser comment 246394 at http://dagblog.com You posted this piece + http://dagblog.com/comment/246389#comment-246389 <a id="comment-246389"></a> <p><em>In reply to <a href="http://dagblog.com/comment/246387#comment-246387">How I saw this piece: Shadow</a></em></p> <div class="field field-name-comment-body field-type-text-long field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p>You posted this piece + followup w/o mentioning Tom Steyer's a *billionaire*?<br /> That's a lot of $27 donations unneeded to get the 50-state thing off the ground.</p> </div></div></div> Thu, 28 Dec 2017 18:56:00 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 246389 at http://dagblog.com How I saw this piece: Shadow http://dagblog.com/comment/246387#comment-246387 <a id="comment-246387"></a> <p><em>In reply to <a href="http://dagblog.com/link/we-have-tapped-something-impeachment-drive-builds-digital-army-take-trump-24144">‘We have tapped into something’: Impeachment drive builds digital army to take on Trump</a></em></p> <div class="field field-name-comment-body field-type-text-long field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p>How I saw this piece: Shadow Dem Party? And if 2016 taught us anything, it’s that conventional norms have been flipped — and your traditional cookie-cutter campaigning doesn’t apply. Digital is king.”</p> </blockquote> </div></div></div> Thu, 28 Dec 2017 18:08:05 +0000 artappraiser comment 246387 at http://dagblog.com
