No, the White House is plagued by Machiavellian intrigue *AND* petty feuds and backstabbing. One doesn't preclude the other, and while we're very fortunate that Trump is nearly braindead and many of the others exceed their vindictiveness thru their incompetence, but day after day they attempt to do really nasty stuff.
