Hal, listen - Patti Solis-Doyle was a fucking idiot if not an Obama mole who largely lost Hillary the election in 2008 by completely botching the campaign finances. That you would even bring that name up just shows you're not even thinking, you're just throwing shit out because you think it makes Hillary look bad. It was fucking 10 years ago, and no, in the middle of a campaign you don't do things like in a company or actual administration. If she had fired the guy, it would have dominated news for a week or more, a week she didn't have. You may be right PP and I was wrong to transpose the word "shield" from the NYT headline whence it came. On the other hand, Clinton did shield Strider from the recommendations of investigator Jess O'Connell and Campaign Manager Patti Solis-Doyle that he be terminated. In any case, I have not called nor suggested that Clinton's action in this matter was evil. I do think it calls into question yet again whether her sex alone made her a change agent as she claimed it did.

But Mrs. Clinton did not. Instead, Mr. Strider was docked several weeks of pay and ordered to undergo counseling, and the young woman was moved to a new job.

It goes on to note that they were concerned not to have the woman's move be a demotion. Pretty textbook handling of an issue.
