Yes, it's not new, the attraction to some of the worst criminals, as well as to the extremely mentally ill ones; it's a phenomenon that has interested me in the past.(Some of the James Holmes fans--of the Colorado movie theater shooting-seemed especially wack.) But these surprise me for some reason, so thanks for posting it. I don't know why, he just seemed like a different type that might not attract as much. We'll see as time goes on. If I recall correctly, the death penalty just attracts more interest, for complex reasons.

Nothing at all new, in fact thus far he's probably in the lesser-than-average psycho mail recipient category. But it's worth considering the numbers of people who really believe they can save/relate to/correspond with/marry someone by reaching out to them once they're in prison for a horrific crime. "Save" being a relative term, of course. And we're trying, as Democrats (hell, as normal people), to determine the best way to reach a good portion of these folks? Really?
