You know, Peracles, in your next life you really should be a headline writer. Every reader would be happier.

After seeing Zuckerberg getting “grilled” today, it struck me that most of the senators were out of their realm, and just read questions written by their young staff, having no idea how to process the answers.

My thought on it: yeah, Facebook succumbed to Russia’s attacks, but so did the entire country, in a very serious way...with horrendous results. It seems to me that the govt should

a) be offering to help Zuckerberg, considering the number of people in our country who use FB, and

b) be asking him for practical help in keeping Russia out of our voting formats.

Yes, facebook is to blame for the “privacy” abandonment that they allowed to happen, but we had an election that should have been delayed when all the Russian interference was discovered. Barring that, it should have been nullified once the stink of Russia in all things trump were found.

Or, in other words:

If it looks like a Russian spy, talks to a whole bunch of Russian spies, denies the truth about contact with Russian spies, and just basically reeks to high heaven, it IS a Russian spy, and should not get to push a Russian puppet into the office of US President.

Facebook is a business based on using your data without your permission. Facebook is not a reliable source of news. We now know that we cannot trust that organizations posting on Facebook are real. Zuckerberg wants to charge you to keep your data private. The founder of BlackLivesMatter told Facebook that the fake website was a scam. Facebook didn’t care. Given the business model constructed by Zuckerberg, nothing will change at Facebook.
