Whatever may be the formative experiences of anti-Federal libertarians, there is the question of how much their agenda has to do with the alt-right who have declared war upon the "Deep State." The tiki torch crowd just wants their team to win and don't mind which uniforms want to pitch in and lend a hand. Once somebody starts getting picky about who does what, then the distinctions regarding valid applications of law kick in again.
There are conflicting reports of how many of those two groups make up Trump's support.
