Trump cannot be normalized. His family is also scum. You don’t call them scum in public, but you have to realize they are scum . Papa Trump eases things for a Chinese company that uses spyware. His daughter gets access to the Chinese market Number One Son retweets wingnut nonsense. People will will die in Puerto Rico again. The 2018 elections with be hacked by multiple countries. The GOP Congress will do nothing.

Trump is a total different entity. GW Bush allowed people to suffer in New Orleans. It may have been economic, but it had racial impact. It would not have happened to a majority white community. You can see Bush as inept, but it was racist in impact. Trump is intentionally racist. Throwing things at Puerto Ricans was an open manifestation that Trump doesn’t care. Trump is worse than Bush. Bush had black people around who tried to reverse the situation. Ethnic minority Trump supporters are nowhere to be seen in trying to correct things in Puerto Rico. You name the evil that you see.

For people who aren’t Trump supporters, the Roseanne tweets help confirm an impression that we have of Trump supporters. We are told that Trump supporters are not racists or bigots, but here we have Trump supporter Roseanne Barr going full racist and still getting support. Trump just pardoned Dinesh D’Souza, a wingnut who questioned the birthplace of Barack Obama, ridiculed Rosa Parks (all she did was refuse to sit in the back of the bus), and laugh at the survivors of the Mary Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Trump is snatching children away from people using the process to apply for asylum in the United States. The people of Puerto Rico are vulnerable as a new hurricane season approaches. Trump supporters remain steadfast despite this obvious evil.

We get distracted by Samantha Bee’s outrage about Ivanka promoting motherhood as we snatch children away from their mothers. You do need to remind people of Ivanka’s hypocrisy and of the words Trump used about Megan Kelly and Rosie O’Donnell. You point this out first, then you point to Samantha Bee’s apology. You never lose an opportunity to point out the evil that is Trump. Is pointing out Trump’s own words and actions a form of what-about-ism? Yes, but given the harm Trump is doing, I have no problem.
