As Lulu has explained to us, everything the US has done around the world has been evil. ~~Less~~ More evil than what Russia or China has done. Therefore if we withdraw and Russia and China get involved in Syria and other places around the world has to be an improvement. Even if it's not good it has to be better than what the evil US would do.

ocean-kat, I think you're being a bit too negative about what is essentially the advice George Washington gave us in his Farewell Address. I am sympathetic, the only problem to get out of the way is the extra 6.5 billion people the world has gained since 1800 and technology and global communication and stuff. Get rid of those and it should work out fine not sticking our nose into other countries' business and not having entangling alliances and stuff.
