The texts may be used as evidence in a potential criminal case against Ms. Argento, who arranged to pay $380,000 to “help” Jimmy Bennett, a former child actor who said she sexually assaulted him when he was 17.

Who Is Rain Dove?

Rain Dove Dubilewski is a 28-year-old model who was born in New York and grew up in Vermont. The model prefers gender-neutral pronouns.

Dove said in interviews with The New York Times that they had been aware as a child that “there wasn’t language for how I felt” with regard to gender identity.

Starting in elementary school in rural Vermont, Dove was nicknamed “Tranny Danny” by classmates, but did not realize that the name was an insult until halfway through freshman year, according to an interview with BuzzFeed in 2015. In high school, when a great-grandparent was about to die, the teenager decided to take the family name Dubilewski, and added Rain Dove, an Abenaki name they had been called since early childhood, to their legal name.

Dove moved to Colorado in their late teenage years, where they worked as part of a chain-saw fire prevention team. Other firefighters treated Dove as a man, and Dove maintained a male identity while working with peers to prevent and fight fires.

“Every day I spent doing it, the deeper I got in,” Dove said. “I was a little bit scared. People were very transphobic and very homophobic.” [.....]

OH YES, THERE'S MORE...

Fri, 31 Aug 2018 06:48:19 +0000 artappraiser comment 257221 at http://dagblog.com Or simply I finished school http://dagblog.com/comment/256763#comment-256763
In reply to we are on the same page, why

Or simply I finished school early and left home just turned 17, so I was already in college when I, the underage lad with no one to understand his perspective, was supposed to be so endangered by them damn elder wimmin.

Fri, 24 Aug 2018 02:00:00 +0000 PeraclesPlease comment 256763 at http://dagblog.com we are on the same page, why http://dagblog.com/comment/256761#comment-256761
In reply to Trauma and adversity, stigma.

we are on the same page, why I used the wording "paid off the blackmailer" as regards Sir Bourdain. Since he doesn't make any attempt to explain what was so life-destroying about it, it really is hard to understand his perspective as an "underage" 17-year-old boy. I know my father joined the Navy at 17 to go fight the Japanese, but he didn't have to face a 37-year-old woman - must have been rough (and my coyote experience was only 15 years difference, so I'm lacking some perspective).
