Yeah, poof, 200 yrs. and 20 million irreplaceable items up in smoke, the massiveness of it makes you realize how rare it is that it happens, that most large museums know how to protect or at least pre-empt and/or minimize and do so successfully.

Now I am thinking what about records? cross fingers that they have some off site/digitized, but scarily sounding like they had no money for such modern conveniences.

This is heartbreaking...
