CNN TV live just now: pretty big crowd of angry shouting protestors converging on and around Supreme Court steps, clearly unplanned, showing one woman being led away in handcuffs, she's wearing a mouth gag of tape and a black veil....one on top one of the sculptures, police creeping toward him...

Edit to add update: CNN showing now that police have gotten crowd control in place, got them away from the front door and off the steps and statue and have all protestors behind barricades at the street level, but it was clear that they had not planned for this at all.

I put my impression watching the vote live on Flavius' thread: basically creepy. Really sounded like women were being tortured or murdered, not your usual Senate vote. Learned later that the protestors had strategically placed themselves spaced far apart in the gallery, so while security was busy with one, another far away would start up.

Strikes me as a good warning,
