What purpose would Kennedy have of installing Kavanaugh, what's the tie with Deutsche Bank money laundering? Does Russian moneu run through there? It's like conspiracizing for the sake of conspiracizing. What's the point? Because: he resigned! That part is over!

Yes of course his son should be investigated. Yes of course he might have taken that into consideration about resigning. And he has: resigned.

But as a conservative appointed by Reagan, as wikipedia says reliably issued conservative rulings during most of his tenure, having voted with William Rehnquist as often as any other justice from 1992 to the end of the Rehnquist Court in 2005, it's also a no brainer to resign when you fucking 82 years old and are pretty sure the next president is not going to be a Republican.

Where would be the scandal? He's 82 and wanted a conservative to replace him. And yes his son may be in the news with a scandal, an added reason to go before you die.

What does quid pro quo mean in context of forcing someone to do something they wanted to do?

Much better ways for journalists to spend their time out there.

Tue, 09 Oct 2018 14:01:04 +0000 artappraiser comment 259690 at http://dagblog.com DONALD TRUMP MADE JUSTICE http://dagblog.com/comment/259688#comment-259688
In reply to High Jinx: Palmer speculates on why Anthony Kennedy quit

DONALD TRUMP MADE JUSTICE KENNEDY AN OFFER HE COULDN’T REFUSE

Behind the scenes, the president worked for months to assure Kennedy his legacy would be in good hands. “I think the Gorsuch nomination had a huge impact,” one law professor said.

@ Vanity Fair, June 29

Tue, 09 Oct 2018 13:47:42 +0000 artappraiser comment 259688 at http://dagblog.com
