There are large numbers of people who are ignorant, don't read or research any of the issues, and are easy to lie to and con. I keep reading these deep analytical articles by intellectual elites attempting to explain why Trump won. Like the article you recently linked on nihilism. It may be true for a small segment of Trump's base but I think the simple explanation is best. Occam's razor you know. We all get our news from somewhere that we trust. NYT, Washington Post, Rush Limbaugh, FOX news.
